Samsung has launched a new variant of the Galaxy S24 in India, now powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset instead of the Exynos 2400 found in the initial Indian models. This updated variant is available for pre-order on Flipkart, giving users an alternative to the Exynos-powered version.
Price and Variants
The Snapdragon Galaxy S24 comes in 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for ₹75,000 and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage for ₹80,000. Interestingly, the 256GB price remains unchanged from the original Exynos S24 launch. While users may prefer Snapdragon for performance reasons, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 offers a more advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with 12GB RAM at a similar price, creating an unusual comparison for buyers.
Features and Software
This new Galaxy S24 variant comes with Android 15 out of the box, an upgrade from the original Android 14. The model number is SM-S921E, distinguishing it from the Exynos-based SM-S921B. The device retains all flagship features including a high-quality AMOLED display, multiple rear cameras, and premium design.
Availability
Currently, the Snapdragon variant is exclusive to Flipkart, while the Exynos version remains on Samsung India’s official website. The Galaxy S24+ is not receiving a Snapdragon re-release in India, and the S24 Ultra has always used Snapdragon in all markets.
Conclusion
The Galaxy S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 offers Indian consumers the choice of Snapdragon performance with Android 15 at launch. However, buyers may compare it to the Galaxy S25 for better value due to higher RAM and newer processor improvements.
