Apple is set to launch the iPhone 17 series on September 9, 2025. The new iPhone 17 Air is expected to start at around ₹1,00,000 for the 256GB base variant. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro may see a price hike, starting from ₹1,25,000 for the same storage option. Official pricing will be confirmed at the launch event.
Design and Display
The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be Apple’s slimmest model yet, with a thickness of just 5.5mm. It may feature a titanium frame, a single rear camera, and Apple’s Action Button. However, it could drop the physical SIM slot.
The iPhone 17 Pro, in contrast, may use an aluminum frame with a glass back and feature a triple rear camera bar design. It is likely to be thicker and heavier than the Air.
In terms of displays, the Air may feature a 6.6-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pro could offer a slightly smaller 6.3-inch OLED display with ProMotion 120Hz and higher brightness levels.
Performance and Battery
Both models are expected to run on the A19 Pro chip with 12GB RAM, supporting Apple Intelligence AI features. The Air may come with a 2900mAh battery, while the Pro could feature a larger 3700mAh unit with faster charging.
Camera
The iPhone 17 Air may include a 48MP single rear camera, limiting ultrawide and telephoto shots. The iPhone 17 Pro, however, is tipped to feature a 48MP triple-lens setup, including a new telephoto sensor. Both models are expected to have a 24MP selfie camera.
