Sony Xperia 10 VII Officially Launched with New Design and Improved Hardware

Sony has officially unveiled the Xperia 10 VII, its latest mid-range smartphone, featuring a fresh design and several hardware upgrades compared to its predecessor.

Design and Display

The Xperia 10 VII comes with a redesigned rear camera module, horizontally arranged inside a pill-shaped layout reminiscent of Google Pixel devices. It features a 6.1-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The phone is slim at 8.3mm and weighs 168g, making it lightweight and easy to handle.

Camera Setup

The device is equipped with a 50MP Sony Exmor RS main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide camera on the back. For selfies, it has an 8MP front camera. Additional camera features include a dedicated camera shutter button for easier photography.

Performance and Storage

Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, the Xperia 10 VII comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card. The phone runs Android 15 out of the box, with a promise of four years of OS updates and six years of security patches.

Battery and Features

The Xperia 10 VII houses a 5,000mAh battery. It includes dual front-facing speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, IP65/68 rating for water and dust resistance, and supports features like Circle to Search and Google Gemini.

Colors and Pricing

The phone will be available in White, Turquoise, and Charcoal Black. It is priced at €449 (~$525). Pre-orders are already open, with shipping starting September 19, 2025.
